Hiding amongst the buildings and the trees within Currie are 15 monsters waiting to be found by explorers like you! Read on to learn more about how you can participate and have a chance to win one year of free childcare at any centre throughout the city and surrounding areas!
Monster March Scavenger Hunt
Starting October 1 - 27, explore the community of Currie in search of 15 Monsters lurking about for a chance to win one year of free childcare! Each monster was originally inspired by children and transformed by Katie Green using her artistic watercolour style.
The monstrous beings can be found throughout local businesses, amenities, and parks within the area! Just snap a photo of each monster to our Monster March phone line with your full name and registered email address!

Explore the community of Currie and keep a keen eye open for the monstrous beings hiding around the local business and amenities. Don’t forget to download your Scavenger Hunt Map here! Use this tracker to log the monsters you find!
Take a photo with each monster you find, don’t forget to smile!
Text the Monster March Phone line: 403-714-0529 with your full name, email address and monstrous images (you can submit each monster photo as they are found or all together) All 15 photos must be submitted by October 27, 2022, at 11:59 PM.
Attend the Monster Market on October 29th and await the results at 1 pm.

What is the maximum value for each 1 year of free childcare?
The maximum value of the grand prize, one-year free childcare is $9,600 for one child. Payments will be made directly to the childcare centre of the winner's choice.
Can I claim the one-year free childcare at any childcare centre around the city?
Yes, the winner can choose which childcare centre they would like to receive a year of free childcare.
If I win the one-year free childcare, am I guaranteed acceptance into the childcare centre of my choice?
The winner of one-year free childcare will not be guaranteed acceptance and enrollment into the childcare of their choice. This also includes families on the waitlist of their preferred childcare centre.
Can more than one person enter to win on behalf of my family/child?
Yes, we encourage everyone to participate in the Scavenger Hunt. All entries must submit their first and last name, their email address and 15 monster photos for a chance to win. If the chosen winner participated on behalf of a family/child they must share the contact information of whom they would like to give the one-year free childcare to.
If I win, can I donate the prize to someone else?
Yes, you can choose if you would like to redeem the one-year free childcare for your family, or give the prize to a different family/child.
