It’s back and bigger and better than ever! Calgary’s biggest family-friendly fundraising fest returns this October! Take a walk on the wild side as we march, get monstrous, and help raise $100,000 for the Children’s Cottage Society’s new Crisis Nursery and Family Support Centre. 3 Ways to Raise Funds and Support Children & Families in Need
Monster Scavenger Hunt: October 1 - 27, 2022
For the month of October, register, raise funds and explore the community of Currie in search of 15 Monsters for a chance to win 1-year of free childcare at any centre throughout the city and surrounding areas! Hiding throughout local business and amenities, snap a photo with all 15 monsters and submit your most monstrous pictures to our Monster March phone line 403-714-0529. One entry per person. Each entry will grant participants into a draw. Three winner will be chosen, with one grand prize of a year-free childcare. Chosen winners will be announced at the Monster Market on October 29, 2022. Selected winners must be present to claim their prize. Register to participate!

Monster Merch: On Sale September 15, 2022
Our WilderFutures x Monster Merch is back! This year we have a full line-up of limited edition merch that you can wear with your littles. Stay tuned for the official release and Monster March-themed products online and at select locations throughout the city!
Our friends at Wildrose Brewery are dedicating their Patron’s Pint for the month of September to our Monster March fundraiser! From September 1 - 31, .25 centres from each Patron’s Pint sold in their taproom will be donated to the Monster March campaign in support of the Children’s Cottage Society. Head down with the whole family to raise funds for the Children’s Cottage, all while enjoying a collection of delicious family-friend foods.
3k Monster March + Local Vendor Market: October 29, 2022
We’re bringing back the fundraising day that started it all. On October 29 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, families from all over YYC are welcome to dress up in your most monstrous costume and march 3km route throughout the community of Currie. Starting at Alexandria Park, looping through Valour Park and ending at Harvey Hall. The march will end where the market begins!
Support over 100 of Calgary’s best artists and makers at our local vendor market, taking place October 29 from 11:30 am - 4:00 pm at Clear Water Academy, Harvey Hall. Attendees will be met with music, food trucks, a silent auction and more! $5 per person and children under 12 are free. All admission funds will go towards our $100,000 donation goal! Why the Children’s Cottage Society
For the past 34 years, the Children’s Cottage Society has been dedicated to preventing harm and neglect to children and building strong families through support services, respite programs and crisis nurseries. We aim to ensure that families and children feel safe and have access to the resources and tools necessary to become strong, stable, and resilient. Although we serve a great number of children and families, we are always hoping and striving to help support more members of our community.
The Cottage never wants to turn away a family or child in need which is why they are moving forward with building a new Child and Family Centre in the northwest Calgary community of Montgomery. The new centre will include a 20-bed crisis nursery, counselling services, a therapeutic child development program and other programs. This new child and family centre will help address emerging issues in small children before there are lifelong and life-altering impacts and will allow The Children’s Cottage to help an additional 8,850 children a year.
Together, with friends all over YYC, we hope to raise $100,000 for the Children’s Cottage Society. Register today to show your support. Every dollar counts!
